Added xfail for gif test - it is timing out on multiple platforms.

Fixed more terse arrays for PHP5.3 . Added debugging for deconstructGif as it takes less than a second locally, but times out in Travis.

Fix uninitialized variable. Correct 'smart' string property.

Added Xfails as travis seems to be having issues.

Fixed conversion to boolean going via a float. Made queryfontmetric test check the result.
