tests: make the unit test result type `CURLcode`
Before this patch, the result code was a mixture of `int` and
`CURLcode`.
Also adjust casts and fix a couple of minor issues fou

libtest: fix MinGW-w64 warnings
long is 32 bits while size_t is 64 bits on MinGW-w64, so
typecheck-gcc.h complains when using size_t for a long option.
Also, curl_socket_t is unsigne
