Stating the obvious: mirrors should be in the
country where they are said to be...

Try to modify the positioning context so IE and Opera will
understand that that clear:none; does not mean: "clear all
floats around regardless of context"

Move old news items out to the archive, thus reducing the
size of the download of the index page
