Many typography improvements. I tried to be pretty thorough to make sure it didn't break anything. The only area that seems negatively affected is the mega menu dropdown, but that needs more work done on it anyway.

Added recent news to the homepage and removed it from the sidebar.

Moved elephants to the footer.

Minor adjustments to the 2x2 grid text.

Improved code coloring in class and method synopsis.

Improved class synopsis layout.

Removed Announcements header. It was unneeded because of the box around the content.

Moved announcements above Recent News and made Announcements category that only shows up when there are announcements.

Removed borders on 2x2 grid, left-aligned the text, and added quotes around some HTML attributes so they are well-formed.

Shortened text blurbs in the 'features' section (2x2 grid).

Moved announcements to sidebar and changed its color to blue/purple.

Ordered news archive so that the most recent years are first.

Halfed the scroll time for TOC comments. It caused a stutter in the scroll on many pages. The faster scroll seems to eliminate the problem.

The recent increase in global font size caused these menu links to
mush into the copyright line.

less "vibrant" link blue, with underline

Reduced the PHP description font size.

Bumped base font size from 13px to 14px. The current site uses 14px and is more readable.

Another purple -> blue transition.

Fixed a purple border that got missed in the purple eradication.
