Ouch! The recent change to the \ handling inside strings is going to
be confusing for regex types. You have to double-escape stuff now in
any of the ereg_*() functions.

is probably the right way to do this anyway. Just like the Bug
database lives on ca.php.net. By the way, this is to help a UK
